This policy explains what personal data we collect, for what purpose, on what legal grounds (Article 6 of the GDPR and the Law of Ukraine «On Personal Data Protection»), how long we store it and to whom we transfer it, and what rights you have.

2. What data we collect

2.1. Data you provide to us yourself

  • contact form data (name, e-mail, message content);

  • data for mailings/notifications (e-mail);

  • comment data (name/nickname, e-mail, IP for anti-spam);

  • data of advertising/partner requests (name, position, contacts).

2.2. Data collected automatically

  • technical data: IP address, device/browser type, OS, referrer, time zone;

  • cookies and similar identifiers;

  • approximate location by IP;

  • web analytics data (page views, session duration, events).

2.3. Third party data (when their content is embedded)

  • videos (YouTube), posts (X/Telegram/FB), advertising networks (Google AdSense/Ads), analytics systems (Google Analytics), anti-spam/security (reCAPTCHA/Cloud services). Such services may set their own cookies.

3. Why we process data (legal basis)

  • Provision and maintenance of the website; moderation of comments (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)).

  • Communication on requests/letters (fulfilment of request/agreement, Art. 6(1)(b)).

  • Traffic analytics and content improvement/UX (consent or legitimate interest).

  • Display of advertising/monetisation (consent to marketing cookies).

  • Fulfilment of legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) and security (Article 6(1)(f)).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use technical, analytical and marketing cookies. You can manage your consent through the banner/cookie settings on the website or in your browser. Details are on the page Cookie policy.

5. Advertising and analytics

We may use Google Analytics, Google AdSense/Ads and other advertising/audience measurement providers. These services process data as handlers or joint controllers in accordance with its policies. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings or limit cookies in the consent banner.

6. With whom we share data

  • Hosting/infrastructure: hostpro.ua

  • CDN/Security: Cloudflare.

  • Analytics/Advertising/Anti-Spam: Google Analytics/AdSense, reCAPTCHA, etc.

7. International transfers

If data is transferred outside the EEA/Ukraine, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) or other mechanisms provided for by the GDPR.

8. Shelf life

  • correspondence/forms - by 12 months after the request is processed;

  • safety logs - up to 12 months;

  • Analytics data - usually 26 months (or another term specified in the service);

  • cookies - according to the type and settings of the consent banner.
    When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your rights (GDPR/Ukrainian law)

You have the right to: access; rectification; erasure («right to be forgotten»); restriction; objection to processing; data portability; withdrawal of consent; complaint to a supervisory authority.

How to exercise the rights: send a request to info@ukrmedia.news with the subject line «Request for personal data». We will respond within 30 days and may ask for proof of identity.

10. Children

The site is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with data, please contact us at the address above and we will delete such information.

11. Security.

We use technical and organisational measures (SSL/TLS, access control, backups, security logs). However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Links to other resources

Materials may contain links or embeds from third parties (YouTube, social media). We are not responsible for their privacy policies - please check them separately.

13. Amendments to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The new version comes into force from the moment it is published on this page with the updated date.
