Ukraine has presented the Areion drone missile based on the Palyanytsia. The new unmanned vehicle can be launched both from the Neptune complex and from a mobile trailer, which expands its application.
Areion technical specifications
Ukraine's new Areion missile drone has a warhead weighing up to 120 kg, which allows it to deliver significant damage to targets. The drone has a flight range of up to 600 km, which significantly expands the ability to hit enemy targets at a great distance.
The Areion is based on the previous Palyanytsia model, but has received modern updates. This makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the drone's use in difficult combat conditions.
Versatility of launching
Areion is delivered in a special container that allows the missile to be launched from the Neptune launcher. This ensures rapid deployment and operational use on the battlefield.
In addition, the drone can be transported and launched from a trailer. This mobility allows Areion to be used in different regions and maintain flexibility in choosing positions for strikes.
Significance for Ukraine's defence capability
The introduction of Areion is an important step in strengthening missile weapons Ukraine. Due to the increased range and power of the warhead, the drone can become one of the key tools for striking strategic enemy targets.
