Mass attacks by «Shahed» may become less dangerous for Ukrainian cities. This was stated by the People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence Roman Kostenko.
According to him, Ukraine is betting on Interceptors with artificial intelligence elements, The company's new system will allow it to destroy enemy drones on approach to populated areas.
«The herds of “Shahedis” will no longer reach cities. AI interceptors will allow us to shoot down these drones at the border,» Kostenko said.
Technological approach to air defence
The MP explained that the new solutions should complement the existing air defence system and reduce the burden on anti-aircraft systems, which are now often forced to operate directly over cities.
Usage. automated interception systems could increase the speed of response and effectiveness of the fight against kamikaze drones, which Russia regularly uses to strike civilian infrastructure.
Context.
