Free meals in schools to become nationwide

Students of grades 1-11 to receive free meals throughout Ukraine - Svyrydenko

From September students in grades 1-11 throughout Ukraine will receive free meals in educational institutions. This was announced by the first Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.

What the solution involves

We are talking about:

• provisioning free school meals for all students;

• programme implementation at the national level, and not just in individual communities;

• promotion social protection of families and support for children during the war.

The initiative is expected to start operating from the beginning of the new academic year.

• improve quality of schoolchildren's nutrition;

• provide equal access access to basic social services in all regions.
