SARS incidence is on the rise in Ukraine: schools switch to remote learning

An outbreak of SARS has been reported in Ukraine, prompting some regions to switch schools to distance learning. Over the past week, the number of cases has increased significantly in a number of regions.

Where the situation is getting worse

An increase in the number of cases is reported in Lviv, Khmelnytsky, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Dnipro and Volyn regions.

In Khmelnytskyi and Dnipro regions, some schools are already switching to distance learning.

What do doctors advise

Experts remind that the treatment and prevention of ARVI involves sufficient fluid intake, rest and, if necessary, taking antipyretic drugs.

It is also recommended to limit contact, observe hand hygiene and wear a mask if possible.

Doctors emphasise that if you have a severe cough, shortness of breath or deterioration in your condition, you should always seek medical help.

Seasonal outbreaks of SARS traditionally increase during the cold season. Educational institutions may temporarily switch to distance learning to contain the spread of the infection.
