NABU investigates Kachnyi case
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has reported that MP Oleksandr Kachnyi has been exposed in a case of illegal enrichment. According to the investigation, Kachnyi, who represents the Platform for Life and Peace faction, failed to declare real estate and funds totalling over UAH 13 million.
Details of the MP's property
The property found includes a 132.6 m² apartment in the centre of Kyiv worth UAH 5.632 million. In addition, it was established that Kachnyi spent another UAH 5.656 million on repairs and furnishings. Separately, detectives NABU recorded a cottage with a land plot in the resort town of Koblevo, valued at UAH 1.694 million.
Public reaction and further steps
Cases of illicit enrichment of MPs are causing a wide public outcry. The NABU has already submitted the materials for further consideration, and Kachnyi is currently refraining from commenting.
