In Vinnytsia, another attack took place on military personnel of the territorial recruitment and social support centre. During mobilisation activities, a man suddenly pulled out a knife and injured two soldiers. The attacker was detained, the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
Attack during document checks
According to the preliminary information of the Vinnytsia Regional CCC and JV, the incident occurred during mobilisation activities jointly with representatives of the National Police. The soldiers stopped the citizen to check his documents.
At some point, the man suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed the soldiers several times. Both victims were wounded.
Status of wounded soldiers
The wounded were promptly taken to a medical facility. As of now, one of the soldiers is in moderate condition and is in intensive care. The condition of the other is assessed as satisfactory.
The attacker was detained
After further clarification of the circumstances, it became known that the attacker was a civilian who had violated the rules of military registration back in 2025. Law enforcement agencies are working at the scene and investigative actions are underway.
TCC response and warnings
The TCC stressed that such attacks on servicemen in the line of duty are a criminal offence. Such actions are classified as obstruction of lawful activities and carry serious liability.
It also emphasises that mobilisation measures remain critical for Ukraine's defence capability.
