The 1,508th day of Russia's large-scale aggression against Ukraine has begun. Defence forces continue to hold back the occupiers' advance, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.
General situation at the front
Over the past day, 173 combat engagements were registered in various sectors of the frontline. Russian troops carried out 73 air strikes and dropped 230 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also used 8,162 kamikaze drones and fired 3,188 times, including 109 times from multiple launch rocket systems. Ukraine's defence forces repelled the occupiers' attempts to advance deep into the country's territory, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The aviation of the Armed Forces struck three areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, as well as two enemy drone control points.
Attacks in key areas
Twelve combat engagements took place in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors. The enemy fired 130 times, 33 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out three air strikes using seven guided bombs. In the South Slobozhansky sector, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops 12 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Kolodyazne, Staritsa, Zelene, Vovchansky Khutory, Prylipka, Lyman and towards Hrafske.
Situation in other areas
In the Kupyansk sector, the aggressor attacked three times in the areas of Kurylivka and Novoplatonivka. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled ten enemy advances near Dibrova, Nadiya, Zarichne and towards Olhivka, Stepove, Druzhelyubivka and Cherneshchyna. In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped three attempts by the occupiers to advance near Riznykivka and Yampil. No attacks were registered in the Kramatorsk sector.
The situation on the southern and western borders
The enemy made 19 attacks in the Kostiantynivka sector near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Kleban-Byk, Stepanivka, Ivanopillia and Sofiyivka. In the Pokrovsk sector, 26 aggressor attacks were stopped in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Ivanivka, Molodetske, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Filiya and Novosergiivka. In the Oleksandrivsk sector, the enemy attacked five times in the areas of Kalynove, Oleksandrohrad, Sichne and Verbove. In the Huliaipil sector, sixteen attacks took place in the areas of Dobropillia, Varvarovka, Bilohirya, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Charivne, Zaliznychne and Svyatopetrivka.
Other areas and threats
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy tried to advance once in the vicinity of Shcherbaky. In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian troops stopped four enemy attacks near Antonivskyi bridge. In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
