Strike on Kirovske airfield: details of the operation

Last night, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a joint operation at the Kirovske airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to official information, the strike destroyed four enemy aircraft, an Orion heavy drone base, an AN-72P transport aircraft and a modern Mech radar station.

The value of losses for the enemy

The destruction of the Orion UAV base and the AN-72P aircraft significantly weakens the enemy's intelligence and logistics capabilities on the peninsula. The loss of the Mech radar limits the enemy's ability to control the airspace of Crimea, which opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian forces.

Reaction of officials

The leadership of the SBU and the DIU thanked all those involved in the operation, stressing the importance of such strikes for bringing the de-occupation of Crimea closer. It is noted that this operation was another confirmation of the effective cooperation of Ukrainian special services.
