The Ukrainian Armed Forces held a meeting on the development of electronic warfare. The focus is on protecting critical infrastructure and the military from attacks by enemy drones and aircraft bombs.
Ukrainian Armed Forces improve electronic warfare capabilities
The Armed Forces of Ukraine held a regular meeting on the development of electronic warfare. The participants discussed how to improve the effectiveness of protecting critical infrastructure and populated areas from enemy attacks.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening the protection of Ukrainian servicemen on the front line. Separate consideration was given to the use of electronic warfare equipment to counter enemy guided aerial bombs.
Priorities for the development of the REC
The meeting identified key areas for the development of electronic warfare capabilities:
- Covering critical infrastructure facilities with electronic warfare equipment and protecting populated areas
- Strengthening the protection of soldiers on the front line
- Countering guided aerial bombs
- Development of means of detecting enemy UAV
- Increasing the number of targeted and all-purpose suppression weapons
- Increasing the number of specialists and staff training
- Countering reconnaissance and strike UAVs and their communication channels
It is noted that the enemy is constantly improving its unmanned systems to carry out terror against Ukraine. In response, the Armed Forces are continuously developing countermeasures.
Context.
Building up electronic warfare capabilities will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to increase the effectiveness of state defence. This will allow us to reach a new level of countering enemy weapons and provide better protection for Ukrainian servicemen.
