Iran has begun construction of new military facilities and underground bunkers that could make its ballistic missile programme and nuclear weapons development virtually beyond the reach of external influence in the coming months. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

According to the Israeli prime minister, Tehran is actively building up its secure infrastructure.
«Iran has begun to build new facilities, new locations, underground bunkers that would make their ballistic missile programme and their nuclear bomb programme unattainable in a few months,» he said.
Netanyahu stressed that if measures were not taken now, it would be much more difficult or impossible to influence these processes in the future.

Earlier, US Special Representative Steve Witkoff on air Fox News reported that during the first talks between the United States and Iran, the Iranian side openly declared its nuclear capabilities.
According to him, the Iranian negotiators explicitly said that they controlled 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%.
Witkoff noted that, according to US estimates, this amount of material is theoretically sufficient to produce about 11 nuclear warheads with further enrichment.
