Poland tightens migration control: dozens of Ukrainians receive deportation orders
Poland has tightened migration control, as part of which law enforcement officers conduct large-scale checks of foreigners in different regions of the country. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.
According to media reports, in just one night 91 Ukrainian citizens received deportation orders after document checks.
Where the raids take place
Inspections are carried out at foreigners' places of residence and work. Law enforcement officers visit hostels, private apartments and businesses, where migrants can work.
During such raids, they check the legality of staying in the country, work permits and other documents.
Strengthening migration policy
According to the Polish media, the country's authorities are tightening control over the stay of foreigners, in particular after an increase in the number of violations of migration laws.
Persons who do not have legal grounds for staying in Poland or have violated migration rules may receive a decision on forced return to the country of origin.
Context.
Poland remains one of the countries with the largest number of Ukrainian citizens after the outbreak of full-scale war.
According to official figures, the country has millions of Ukrainians, who have been granted temporary protection or work under work permits.
According to experts, the intensification of inspections is connected with the authorities' desire to control migration processes and prevent illegal employment.
