Zelensky: Belarus deploys repeaters for Russian drones

A system of repeaters has been deployed in Belarus to control Russian attack drones, which has significantly intensified attacks on the northern regions of Ukraine - from Kyiv region to Volyn. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the Head of State, some of the strikes on Ukraine's energy and railway infrastructure would not have been possible without the help of Belarusian territory and infrastructure.

Impact on the security situation

Zelenskyy stressed that the use of Belarus as a platform for drone control has expanded the Russian army's ability to strike deep into Ukrainian territory.

First and foremost, we are talking about attacks on critical energy and logistics facilities, which are key to the functioning of the economy and the state's defence capability.

Context.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, Belarus has been providing Moscow with various forms of military and infrastructure support.
The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly warned that such cooperation makes Belarusian territory an element of Russia's military infrastructure and creates additional risks for the security of the whole of Europe.
