President of the United States Donald Trump declared that «the Venezuelan regime has been recognised as a foreign terrorist organisation», and therefore ordered a complete and total blockade of all authorised oil tankers, The company has been working on a number of flights to and from Venezuela.

What Trump said

According to the US President, the restrictions will apply to until the United States returns all the oil, land and other assets that were previously stolen.

What assets are involved

Probably means about $17 billion, that Western energy corporations have spent on exploration and development of oil fields in Venezuela. Later, their subsidiaries were nationalised by the country's authorities for the president Hugo Chavez in 2002.
