Ukraine gets bases in Libya for strikes on Russian fleet

Ukraine has established an outpost in Tripoli, gaining access to key bases in Libya to conduct operations against Russian ships. The main base is located at the Misrata airbase, with facilities in Mellitah for launching drones and at the 111th Brigade base near Tripoli airport. The Ukrainian side says that if Europe does not stop the Russian shadow fleet, Ukraine will.

Ukraine deploys operations in the Mediterranean

It has become known that Ukraine has received permission from Libya to use its military bases to conduct operations against Russian ships in the Mediterranean. The outpost in Tripoli allows the Ukrainian military to operate on the strategically important route from the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea to the Suez Canal, which creates new threats to the Russian Navy.

The Ukrainian government emphasises that if European countries do not stop Russia's shadow fleet, Ukraine is ready to take on this mission. Operations in the Mediterranean Sea could radically change the balance of power in the region and affect the logistics of Russian vessels.
