The Cabinet of Ministers allowed the sale of medicines at petrol stations
Ukraine has officially allowed the sale of certain medicines at petrol stations. The following amendments were approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 275.
What is changing
From now on, basic over-the-counter (OTC) medicines will be available at petrol stations:
antipyretic,
painkillers,
sorbents.
The solution is aimed at increasing the availability of essential medicines for the population, especially on the road.
Terms of sale
According to the resolution, the sale of medicines at petrol stations is allowed only if a number of requirements are met.
In particular:
only specialists with pharmaceutical education should dispense medicines;
Filling stations are required to keep appropriate accounting records;
proper storage of medicines must be ensured.
When the rules will be fully implemented
Resolution No. 275 comes into force in stages. Some of the provisions are already in force, while the remaining requirements will take effect in two months.
The government has previously announced the expansion of access channels to essential medicines, especially in times of war and logistical disruptions in certain regions.
