Russian troops strike 500 kg guided aerial bomb (GAB) in the centre Kramatorsk.

This was announced by the mayor of the city Alexander Goncharenko.

Extensive damage

According to preliminary data, as a result of an impact:

  • damaged 12 multi-storey buildings

  • destroyed or damaged 5 administrative buildings

  • damaged 22 vehicles

The strike hit the central part of the city.

Guided aerial bombs (GABs) are high-yield aerial munitions that are launched from aircraft and can be adjusted during flight.

Russia is actively using such bombs against Ukrainian cities in frontline areas.

Kramatorsk is one of the key cities Donetsk region and is regularly subject to Russian attacks.

After the strike, emergency services are on the scene to assess the extent of the damage.
