Statement by the company’s founder
Severion Dangadze called day of the attack the greatest tragedy in the entire history of UKRTAC. He reported that, as a result of the attack, the company had lost its buildings, equipment and property.
«All our people are alive. And that is priceless,» wrote Dangadze. He thanked the staff, partners, rescue workers and those who have been supporting the company in the wake of the attack.
UKRTAC manufactures personal protective equipment
On the UKRTAC website, the company describes itself as a Kyiv-based manufacturer of personal protective equipment. Its catalogue includes body armour, armour plates and ballistic inserts, helmets, protective suits, equipment and tactical medical supplies.
The company states that it began operations in March 2022 following a voluntary initiative to provide armour protection for the military. In UKRTAC’s materials, Dangadze is referred to as the founder, whilst in later public statements he is described as the director of development.
Risks to the supply of protective equipment
UKRTAC.UA LLC took part in defence procurement: in September 2025, the company was awarded the contract to supply a thousand covers for modular body armour to military unit A0515, according to data from Prozorro.
The Ministry of Defence, through the procurement agency DOT, announced procurement of personal protective equipment for 2026, including modular body armour. Therefore, the reported destruction of the production and storage site could pose a risk to the manufacture and supply of body armour under existing orders.
The company has announced its intention to rebuild
Dangadze emphasised that the destruction would not wipe out the team, its experience or its professional expertise. According to him, it was the staff who built UKRTAC, and it is they who will rebuild the company.
«We’re not giving up. We’ll get back on our feet. We’ll carry on working,» said the founder. The official UKRTAC website remains accessible and features an active product catalogue.
