How the electronic tax number will work
Diia users will be able to obtain an electronic tax number (TIN) by generating it in the app. To do this, you will need to apply online - without visiting the tax office.
The electronic TIN will have the same legal force as a paper document. The new service will be available in the near future.
Benefits and changes for citizens
- No need to obtain a paper certificate of TIN assignment.
- The ability to create an electronic document at any time via your smartphone.
- Simplification of procedures for citizens and reduction of queues in state institutions.
Previously, in order to obtain a TIN, you had to personally apply to the tax office, wait for a paper document to be issued and pick it up yourself.
Context.
The electronic tax number is another step in the digitalisation of public services in Ukraine. The Diia app already provides access to many documents and services, including electronic passports, driving licences, certificates, etc.
The introduction of the electronic TIN is in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Digital Transformation to simplify bureaucratic procedures and develop e-government.
