Strike in Chernihiv region: there are dead and wounded

On the night of 25 April, Russian troops attacked three districts of Chernihiv region. The shelling killed two people and injured seven others.

Nizhyn: deaths and fires

Two people were killed and two others injured in Nizhyn as a result of Russian shelling. The impact sites were accompanied by large-scale fires, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers.

During the response to the attack, the rescuers repeatedly moved to cover due to the threat of repeated attacks. The work was complicated by the constant danger to the personnel.

Horodnyanska hromada: blows to the private sector

In Horodnyanska community, five local residents were injured as a result of drone strikes. The shelling targeted private houses.

The medics treated the victims on the spot. Information on the condition of the wounded is being clarified.

Snovska community: houses and cars destroyed

In the Snovska community, Russian strikes caused fires in residential buildings, outbuildings and cars. All fires were extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

The rescue operations were carried out under the constant threat of new attacks, which made access to the hit sites difficult.

Response of local authorities and rescuers

Local authorities are urging residents of Chernihiv Oblast to follow safety rules and not to ignore air raid warnings. Rescuers continue to work in an enhanced mode.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reports that it is ready to respond quickly to repeated attacks and urges residents to stay in shelters during the alert.
