Chair of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Sergei Boyarsky noted the platform’s active efforts to address the identified shortcomings. According to him, Roblox has heeded the regulator’s requests, ensured user safety and eliminated the threats that led to the suspension.
Impact on other foreign services
Peskov’s statement opens the door for other foreign platforms to return, in particular Telegram, YouTube and Meta services, which are currently blocked or restricted in Russia. However, this depends on their compliance with Russian legislation, including user safety guarantees and the absence of extremist content.
