Trump: «Russian economy cannot withstand sanctions and war»
President of the United States Donald Trump said. The Russian economy is on the verge of collapse due to sanctions and the exhausting war against Ukraine.
According to him, Moscow is losing its financial stability, and the energy sector is suffering serious losses due to a decline in exports.
«Russia is in its worst condition in decades. Their economy cannot withstand the sanctions, but they still don't want to stop the war,» Trump said.
Meeting with Zelensky and a new arms package
The American leader said that will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the near future, to discuss new military aid.
The plan includes transfer of modern air defence systems, attack drones and ammunition to Ukraine.
«Ukraine will get the weapons to win this war. We will help it become even stronger,» the US president said.
White House: support for Ukraine remains unchanged
Washington confirms that the United States continues to coordinate international assistance to Ukraine.
Administration officials say the new military support package could be the largest since the beginning of the year.
The president's economic advisers add that sanctions pressure on russia will continue to grow until the Kremlin stops its aggression against Ukraine.
