Medvid stated that On the evening of 3 September, a Russian attack targeted storage facilities in the village of Chaiky. Rescue workers were also on the scene, dealing with the aftermath of the strike.
According to the community leader, Russian troops are continuing to attack and destroy civilian infrastructure.
Consequently, within less than 24 hours, the following was recorded within a single local authority area: at least two strikes on storage facilities — first in Chaiky, and then in Sofiivska Borshchahivka.
Logistics facilities in the Kyiv region are regularly coming under attack
In recent days, Russian attacks on warehousing and logistics infrastructure in the Kyiv region have become more frequent.
On 2 September, firefighters spent almost the whole day putting out fires at warehouse facilities in Buchansky and Boryspil areas following yet another Russian attack.
Sofiivska Borshchahivka had previously also been the target of attacks on logistics facilities. During one of the earlier strikes on the settlement, a two-storey warehouse building caught fire, with the blaze covering an area of around 500 square metres.
The latest attack on 4 September once again targeted storage facilities. The exact extent of the damage and details of exactly which goods or businesses were housed in the destroyed premises are currently being ascertained.
