Ukraine should be «long-range enough»

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening address said that Ukraine will always have long-range weapons - both during the war and after it ended.

«In any scenario, Ukraine must always be - and will be! - sufficiently long-range. Now, in times of war, and no less after the war - as part of the security guarantees for the future, for our children,» Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasised that the development of the Ukrainian defence industry allows independently create effective means of deterring the enemy, and partner support helps to accelerate these processes.


City battles in Pokrovsk

Zelensky also confirmed the fact of urban fighting in Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, noting that the situation in this area remains extremely tense.

«Our soldiers are holding the defence in very difficult conditions. Pokrovsk is one of the key areas where the enemy is trying to break through,» the Head of State added.

Ukraine is actively developing its own long-range missile weapons and unmanned systems that can hit targets at a depth of over 700 km.
This became part of the strategy long-term deterrence of Russian aggression even after the end of hostilities.
