Russian Federation attacks critical infrastructure in Podilsk: power and water cut off
On the night of 29 October a series of powerful explosions occurred in the city of Podilsk, Odesa region, during an air raid alert. According to the Public citing law enforcement agencies, as a result, the city lost power and water supply was cut off in a number of districts. There were no preliminary casualties.
Details of the incident
The air alert was announced at 02:02.
The first explosions occurred at approximately 03:20. At least nine explosions.
In the neighbourhood Cherry blossoms there was a water supply outage. Power engineers predict that water will be restored from 06:00 to 09:00 in the morning.
Due to the security situation two trains (No. 6253 Vapnyarka - Odesa and No. 7024/7021 Podilsk - Odesa) departed with a delay.
Government response
Representatives of the Podilsk city authorities said that pre-school education institutions would operate in the regular group mode.
Law enforcement officers are currently examining the sites of the explosions and working to establish the details of the attack.

The city of Podilsk is an important industrial hub in Odesa region. The attack on critical infrastructure is yet another example of the Russian Federation's attempt to influence the region's life support through energy networks.
