Russian Federation attacks critical infrastructure in Podilsk: power and water cut off

On the night of 29 October a series of powerful explosions occurred in the city of Podilsk, Odesa region, during an air raid alert. According to the Public citing law enforcement agencies, as a result, the city lost power and water supply was cut off in a number of districts. There were no preliminary casualties.

Details of the incident

  • The air alert was announced at 02:02.

  • The first explosions occurred at approximately 03:20. At least nine explosions.

  • In the neighbourhood Cherry blossoms there was a water supply outage. Power engineers predict that water will be restored from 06:00 to 09:00 in the morning.

  • Due to the security situation two trains (No. 6253 Vapnyarka - Odesa and No. 7024/7021 Podilsk - Odesa) departed with a delay.

Government response

Representatives of the Podilsk city authorities said that pre-school education institutions would operate in the regular group mode.
Law enforcement officers are currently examining the sites of the explosions and working to establish the details of the attack.
