Russian Federation attacks DTEK's thermal power plants in four regions of Ukraine - equipment damaged
On the night of 30 October, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on energy infrastructure facilities, including on DTEK's thermal power plants in different regions of Ukraine.
According to the company's press service, Equipment at several thermal power plants was severely damaged, Some of the power units were temporarily shut down.
«The enemy attacked four DTEK thermal power plants at once today. The shelling damaged power equipment, and emergency crews are working at the sites. This is the third massive attack on our facilities in October alone,» the company said in a statement.
Four thermal power plants are under attack
According to official data, attacks were recorded at the following facilities:
Dobrotvirska TPP (Lviv region);
Burshtyn TPP (Ivano-Frankivsk region);
Kalush CHPP (Ivano-Frankivsk region);
Ladyzhynska TPP (Vinnytsia region).
Currently Power engineers assess the extent of the damage, Repair and restoration works are underway.
The scale of the damage
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion DTEK's thermal power plants were shelled over 210 times.
The company emphasises that, despite the numerous blows, power engineers continue to maintain stable operation of the power system.
«Every attack on the energy sector is an attempt to leave Ukrainians without electricity and heat, but we are doing everything to restore the operation of the plants as soon as possible,» DTEK said.

Massive attacks on Ukraine's energy system have been going on since early October.
Thermal generation facilities and substations in several regions were damaged, resulting in power shortage й introducing schedules for limiting electricity consumption across the country.
