Angelina Jolie tells about her visit to Mykolaiv and Kherson: «Fear of being forgotten by the world»
Hollywood actress and goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie published a post on her Instagram about visit to Mykolaiv and Kherson, where she met with local residents living under the constant threat of Russian attacks.
«People have told me about the psychological burden of living under constant threat - and the even greater fear of being forgotten by the world,» Jolie wrote.
«Human safari» - drones as a daily threat
The actress admitted that she was shocked by the conditions in which people live in the frontline areas.
«The threat of drones has been constant and depressing. You can hear a low humming in the sky - it's called the “human safari” here, because drones are constantly being used to track, harass and terrorise civilians,» Jolie said.
Humanitarian mission
During the visit, Angelina Jolie spoke with volunteers, medics and families who lost their homes to Russian shelling. She emphasised the importance of international support for Ukraine and the need to help people who live in a state of constant fear every day.
This is not the first time the actress has visited Ukraine - in 2022, she visited Lviv, where she visited displaced people and wounded children.
