Chernihiv region: Russian UAV attacks cause large-scale fires in several settlements

On 25 November, Russian drones conducted a series of strikes in Chernihiv region, which led to large-scale fires in Chernihiv and Koryukivka.

In Chernihiv itself, a critical infrastructure facility caught fire. According to local authorities, the fire spread quickly due to the nature of the damage caused by the impact.

In Koryukovka, the territory of a local enterprise caught fire, engulfing hangars and warehouses with finished products. The fires broke out at different addresses, which made the work of the rescue teams much more difficult.

Rescuers' work under repeated shelling

The SES reports that during the firefighting operations, Russian forces inflicted repeated blows directly to the extinguishing points, trying to cause maximum damage and disrupt the work of firefighters.

Despite the threat to life and extremely difficult conditions, the rescuers managed to promptly localise all fire centres, The fire was prevented from spreading further.

The following people also worked in the field pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service, who examined the area for explosive fragments after the attack.

Chernihiv region remains one of the areas regularly targeted by Russian UAVs and missiles. In recent weeks, the number of attacks has increased, resulting in damage to a number of infrastructure facilities, businesses and residential buildings across the region.
