Night attack on Zaporizhzhia: destruction and fires

On the night of 26 November, Russian troops launched a powerful attack on Zaporizhzhia. The shelling caused numerous destructions and fires in different parts of the city.

Pre-damaged:
- seven multi-storey residential buildings,
- petrol station,
- shop,
- several cars.

The work of rescuers

The State Emergency Service units are working at the sites of the strikes: fires are being extinguished in several locations simultaneously.
Firefighters and search teams are inspecting the destroyed structures and helping local residents get out of the damaged premises.

While extinguishing a fire in a residential building, rescuers rescued two people.

Context.

Zaporizhzhia is regularly under attack by Russian forces, which continue to target residential areas and civilian infrastructure. The local authorities are urging residents not to ignore the alarms and to take shelter immediately.
