Russian UAV deliberately tried to attack a passenger train in Zhytomyr region
The Russian attack drone of the «Shahed» tried to strike a passenger train during a night attack in Zhytomyr region. This was reported by a radio technology specialist Sergey «Flash».
Details of the incident
According to the information provided, the drone was initially flying towards the energy infrastructure facility. However, just before the strike, the operator remotely changed the flight route and directed the drone at a passenger train that was in motion.
The expert notes that the operator clearly saw a civilian object and realised that the target was a train with people. Despite this, a decision was made to attack. The drone missed the target, and the passenger train was not hit.
Consequences.
After the UAV crash, a freight train crashed in the same area, as previously reported. As a result of the incident, railway traffic was disrupted, and the relevant services were working at the scene.
Probable place of management
According to experts, the drone could have been controlled from the territory of Belarus. The distance from the alleged control point to the scene is about 80 kilometres.
