Late in the evening of 16 April, a Russian drone attacked a fire and rescue unit in Sumy region. The strike partially damaged the building, but the personnel were not injured.

On 16 April, a unit of the State Emergency Service in Sumy region was attacked by Russian troops. According to official information, the enemy used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that hit the building of the fire and rescue unit.

The building sustained partial damage as a result of the attack. At the time of the attack, the personnel were in a shelter, which helped to avoid casualties among the rescuers. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on its Telegram channel.

According to preliminary reports, none of the SES employees were injured. Information about the damage is being verified by the relevant services.
