SBU purges begin: President announces first results
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the start of active work to cleanse the Security Service of Ukraine of people whose actions do not meet the interests of the state.
According to him, there are already first results.

Zelenskyy noted that he had heard the SBU's reports and had given appropriate instructions to the leadership.
«I have instructed Yevhen Khmara and Oleksandr Poklad to work on cleansing the Service from those whose interest is not in Ukraine at all,» the President said.
There are already detentions
The Head of State informed that the relevant detentions had taken place today.
He emphasised the importance of bringing cases to court verdicts.
«It is very important that there are fair sentences. Everyone in public office must work for Ukraine and for the sake of Ukraine,» Zelenskyy stressed.

Cleansing the security forces of possible abuses or disloyal employees remains one of the areas of security sector reform in the context of the war.
Law enforcement officials have not yet disclosed the details of the detentions.
