Russia massively attacks Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia: dozens of attacks, children wounded

On the night of 26 February Russian troops launched a series of massive strikes on Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. According to preliminary reports, there are casualties, including a child, and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

Information on the consequences continues to be clarified.

A blow to Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, at least 17 drones and 2 missiles.

Preliminary information:

• direct hit to a high-rise building;

• 14 wounded, among them a 7-year-old boy;

• Apartment blocks and private houses were damaged;

• The gas pipeline and power grids were cut off;

• Several houses were destroyed.

Emergency services are working on the ground.

A blow to Zaporizhzhia

In Zaporizhzhia, there are reports of at least 12 strokes on the city's infrastructure.

Known about:

• a fire in the Epicentr hypermarket;

• a shopping centre fire;

• damage to a multi-storey building and cars;

• 6 wounded;

• destruction of a private house.

Rescuers are eliminating the consequences of the shelling.

Russian troops regularly use drones and missiles to strike Ukrainian cities, resulting in the destruction of civilian infrastructure and civilian casualties.
