Indonesian police confirm death of Ukrainian Igor Komarov
Indonesian law enforcement officers conducted DNA analysis of six bone tissue samples, found on the coast of Bali. The results showed a complete match with the genetic samples of the parents Igor Komarov.
The first body fragments were found 26 February near Ketevil beach. Later, other remains were found at the river mouth and along the coast.
The version of the kidnapping
According to the investigation, Igor Komarov was abducted on 15 February in the Jimbaran district.
CCTV cameras recorded a car and two motorbikes, who moved between districts Tabanan and Badung. Investigators believe that these vehicles could have been used by the hijackers.
In addition, traces of blood in the villa and in the Toyota Avanza belonged to the victim. This, according to the police, confirms the version of a forced abduction.
Suspects in the case
Law enforcement officers have already one suspect was detained in the case.
More six foreigners put on the international wanted list through Interpol. The investigation is checking their possible involvement in the abduction and murder of the Ukrainian.
