France sends fleet to the Strait of Hormuz
President Emmanuel Macron said. France plans to deploy a «purely defensive» military mission to restore safe navigation through Strait of Hormuz.
According to the French leader, the mission aims to stabilise the situation on one of the world's key energy routes.

The French military presence will cover a large region - from Eastern Mediterranean to Red Sea and areas near the Strait of Hormuz.

2 versatile helicopter carrier amphibious assault ships
aircraft carrier of the French Navy
