President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah at night. This was reported by Ukrmedia News.
The main topic of the meeting was strengthening cooperation in the field of airspace protection.
Agreement on interceptor drones
The parties are preparing a joint agreement on the supply of interceptor drones. Other technological solutions for air defence are also being discussed.
The agreement provides for:
- use of drones to intercept enemy targets;
- introducing new sky protection systems;
- expanding technological cooperation between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.
Context.
Saudi Arabia has been actively investing in military technology in recent years. Ukraine is strengthening its cooperation with the Middle East to enhance its own security.
