The Verkhovna Rada is considering three draft laws initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers. The first is the introduction of a 5% military tax to be levied after the end of the war. The second is the so-called «Olx tax», which provides for the taxation of citizens' income from digital platforms, including sales through popular online services.
Taxation of parcels and new rules for officials
The third initiative concerns parcel taxation worth up to 150 euros. The relevant draft law (No. 15112-1) also includes a clause on easing financial monitoring for public figures. It is proposed that the status of a public figure should be limited to three years after leaving office, instead of lifetime control, as it is now.
