Large-scale attack on Feodosia

On the night of 6 October, powerful explosions were heard in occupied Feodosia. According to Russian and local Telegram channels, drones attacked a large oil depot, after which a large-scale fire broke out. A column of smoke rose into the sky, and the flames were visible for several kilometres.

What is known about the facility

The oil depot in Feodosia is one of the largest in Crimea. It supplies fuel to Russian military units and Black Sea Fleet transport. According to preliminary reports, the attack engulfed several fuel tanks.

Reaction of the occupation authorities

The so-called «governor of Crimea» Sergey Aksyonov confirmed the fire, saying that «operational services are working». According to him, there were no fatalities or injuries, but the workers were evacuated from the territory.

Context.

In recent weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been actively attacking the occupiers' logistics and fuel facilities in Crimea, particularly in Sevastopol, Yevpatoriya and Dzhankoy. These attacks are aimed at disrupting the supply of fuel to Russian troops and equipment on the peninsula.
