As of 27 April 2026, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released new data regarding the losses of Russian troops. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces destroyed 810 enemy troops, 1,128 operational and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles and 26 artillery systems. In addition, 128 vehicles and tankers were destroyed, and the number of enemy armoured combat vehicles increased by 4 units.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24 February 2022 to 27 April 2026 amounted to about 1,326,460 servicemen. Losses in armoured vehicles and automotive equipment also remain significant. A total of 11,892 tanks, 24,467 armoured combat vehicles, 4,136 special vehicles and 91,710 vehicles and tankers were destroyed.

Significance of air and artillery losses

In addition to personnel, Russian troops continue to lose a significant amount of equipment in the air. Since the start of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 435 aircraft, 350 helicopters and 259,219 drones. Over the last day, this figure increased by 1,128 UAVs, which demonstrates the intensity of hostilities and the effectiveness of Ukraine's countering air threats.

Losses in artillery are also critical for the Russian army. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 40,737 artillery systems, including 26 in the last day. Losses in rocket artillery systems (1,753 units) and air defence systems (1,354 units) have also been confirmed.

Russian Navy losses and data clarification

In addition to ground and air assets, the Russian navy is also suffering losses. According to recent reports, 33 ships and boats and 2 submarines have been destroyed. These losses significantly affect Russia's ability to conduct operations at sea and support its forces from the sea.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasises that information on enemy losses is constantly being updated and supplemented. Prompt data updates allow us to track the dynamics of hostilities and assess the effectiveness of Ukraine's defence efforts.

Why it matters

Publicising actual enemy losses is important for both the military and society. Such data demonstrate the effectiveness of the Ukrainian armed forces and confirm the high level of resistance to Russian aggression.

Regularly updating casualty statistics also affects the morale of both the Ukrainian military and civilians. It allows citizens to understand the scale of the conflict and maintain trust in the Ukrainian armed forces command.
