Electricity prices for households in Ukraine will remain unchanged until the end of October. This was announced by Yulia Svyrydenko, who stressed the importance of supporting citizens during the period of increased costs. For households where electricity is the main source of heating, special preferential tariffs are provided for the heating season.

Electricity tariffs remain stable

According to the information Julia Sviridenko, The government has decided that electricity prices for households will not be increased until the end of October. This decision is aimed at supporting Ukrainian families in a difficult economic period and ensuring the stability of utilities. Maintaining the current tariffs allows citizens to plan their finances without the risk of a sudden increase in electricity bills.

Additional benefits are also available for certain categories of consumers. Households that use electricity as their main source of heating will be entitled to special tariffs during the heating season.

Preferential tariffs for households with electric heating

For households where electricity is the main source of heating, a preferential tariff of UAH 2.64 per kWh has been set for consumption up to 2000 kWh per month. If consumption exceeds this limit, the tariff will be UAH 4.32 per kWh.

The preferential tariffs apply from 1 October to 30 April. This significantly reduces the financial burden on families using electric heating, especially during the cold season.

Outlook for consumers and the market

Maintaining the current tariffs by the end of October creates predictable conditions for consumers and the energy market. The government is demonstrating its readiness to respond to the social needs of the population and maintain stability in the utility sector. This is especially important for households with electric heating, as energy costs traditionally rise during the heating season.

At the same time, the government reserves the right to review the tariff policy after the end of this period. This means that further decisions will depend on the economic situation and the state of the country's energy infrastructure.

Why it matters

Stability of electricity tariffs has a direct impact on the welfare of Ukrainian families, especially in the context of rising prices for other utilities. Preferential conditions for households with electric heating help to avoid a sharp increase in winter costs and support social justice.

The decision not to increase tariffs until the end of October allows citizens to better plan their budgets and reduces the risk of financial instability. In the long run, this helps to maintain confidence in the government's energy policy and supports social stability in the country.
