In the last days of April, the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine intensified the fight against collaborators and traitors. Individuals who collaborated with Russian special services, held positions in the occupation authorities and passed important information to the enemy were detained and served with suspicion notices.
Prosecutor's Office records new cases of collaboration
Pros. information Office of the Prosecutor General, In the period from 20 to 30 April 2026, a number of people suspected of cooperating with Russian special services and participating in the activities of the occupation authorities were exposed in Ukraine. In particular, in Donetsk region, a man who collaborated with a representative of a reconnaissance and assault unit was detained PMC Wagner« and transmitted the coordinates of the location of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in Druzhkivka and surrounding villages.
In the Luhansk region, the «acting rector of the university», the «school director» and the head of the «migration department» in the structure of the occupation «MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION by LNR». They are accused of implementing the educational and administrative policies of the aggressor state. Also, five educators from Donetsk region and the so-called «minister» are suspected of collaboration and high treason. «DPR».
Agent detection and crime prevention
Law enforcement officers in Zhytomyr region detained two people suspected of high treason and a series of contract killings of servicemen on the instructions of Russian special services. Their detention prevented the contract killing of a Hero of Ukraine, Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The suspects are being held without bail.
A local resident, who was passing information to representatives of the FSB OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION information about a critical infrastructure facility that later came under hostile attack. Two more recruits were served a notice of suspicion of passing on data about the energy system, military and state facilities.
Litigation and verdicts
Indictments have been sent to court against two people who voluntarily took up senior positions in the illegal occupation authorities in Luhansk region. A resident of Khmelnytsky region will be tried for passing on information about military facilities and military movements, and in Kherson region - a family who worked in the occupation «ministry» during the occupation.
To two security forces «MGB OF THE LPR», who tortured a civilian, as well as the «head of the Novoaydar municipal district of the LPR» and the «military commissar of the Novoaydar district of the LPR» were charged with war crimes. The sentences were passed on individuals who fought on the side of the enemy and justified Russia's armed aggression: a resident of Donetsk region was sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property, a lieutenant colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to 15 years, two Russian FSB agents to 15 years, and a former law enforcement officer from Kharkiv region to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Active work of the prosecutor's office on exposing collaborators and traitors demonstrates the state's unwavering position in protecting national security. Bringing to justice those who cooperate with the occupiers or pass important information to the enemy is key to preventing new crimes and saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.
Sentences against collaborators and agents of the Russian Federation are not only punitive but also preventive, signalling to society that punishment for actions against the state is inevitable. At the same time, according to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
