Four cities to launch the network

Pepco has identified Kyiv, Chernivtsi, Mukachevo and Ternopil as the first cities in which to launch its network in Ukraine. The company described the selection of these locations as the next stage in its preparations to operate in this new market.

Country Manager, Pepco Ukraine Arsen Starchenko He said that the retailer is preparing its shops for opening, adapting its operational processes to local conditions and gradually building up its Ukrainian team. The company has also announced that it is recruiting staff in each of the four cities.

Recruitment has already begun

Pepco publishes its job vacancies on its official page on Robota.ua. The recruitment process takes place alongside the preparation of retail outlets.

To operate in Ukraine, Pepco has registered Pepco Ukraine LLC. According to OpenDataBot, the company was incorporated on 18 May 2026.

What is the Pepco model based on?

Pepco was founded in Poland 22 years ago and is part of the Pepco Group, whose shares are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The retailer’s business model combines a wide range of homewares, clothing and toys with affordable prices and a mass-market store format.

According to the company, the group has over 4,000 shops in 18 European countries and serves around 36 million customers every month. In 2025, Pepco Group’s revenue rose by 8.7% to €4.5 billion, whilst net profit increased by 19.7% to €219 million.

Expanding the group into new markets

Ukraine will be one of the focus areas for Pepco’s further expansion in Central and Eastern Europe. The company also has plans to open shops in North Macedonia in 2026.

The first four Ukrainian sites will enable the network to begin operations immediately in the capital and three regional cities.
