Starmer suggested adapting this model to the Ukrainian context, with the participation of European partners and guarantees for Kyiv to avoid a new Russian invasion.
“We have to act systematically to end the war, but not at the expense of Ukraine's security,” the British prime minister said during an informal meeting with American diplomats.
Washington's reaction
According to Axios, The US administration considers this idea as one of the possible bases for negotiations, but has not yet made any concrete decisions.
The White House emphasises that Peace must be just and sustainable, and any proposals should take into account Kyiv's position.
