On 3 August, Russian forces attacked Pryluky in the Chernihiv region using rocket-powered drones. One of the strikes hit a «Nova Poshta» parcel depot located in the town’s industrial zone.
The building has suffered significant damage: the roof and walls have been damaged, and parts of the structure have partially collapsed. Photographs released after the attack also show a sign that has been torn down and a section of the premises that has been badly damaged.
Priluki was attacked by jet-powered drones
An air raid alert was declared in the Pryluky district in the afternoon. Monitoring channels warned of several jet-powered UAVs approaching the town from the east.
Shortly afterwards, residents of Pryluky and the surrounding villages heard a series of explosions. Some of the drones continued to manoeuvre in the vicinity of the town, so the threat of further strikes remained.

There are casualties as a result of the attack
Local news channels have reported that people were injured in the attack. The official number of injured, the nature of their injuries and details of any hospital admissions had not been made public at the time of publication.
Emergency services are working at the site of the strike. They are surveying the area, dealing with the aftermath of the attack and inspecting the damaged structures.
It is also not yet known whether staff and visitors were inside the building at the time of the strike. Nova Poshta has not yet disclosed how many parcels were being stored in the cargo department, nor what proportion of them may have been damaged or destroyed.
Details of the consequences are being clarified
Once the emergency work has been completed, the company must assess the condition of the consignments and determine how to serve customers at the affected branch. In such situations, consignments are usually redirected to other branches, and the owners of damaged parcels are contacted individually.
The authorities are urging residents not to post photographs or videos from the sites of the strikes until the rescue operations have been completed. Figures on the number of casualties and the final extent of the damage may be updated.
