On the night of 8 August, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. According to preliminary data as of 09:00, the Defence Forces shot down or neutralised 135 enemy UAVs in the north, south and east of the country. Missile and drone strikes were recorded.

Missiles and drones were launched from Russia and the occupied territories
The air strike began at 18:00 on 7 August. Russian forces deployed six Iskander-M ballistic missiles and S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as 151 Shahed attack drones, including jet-powered ones, «Gerbera», «Italmas», «Parody» decoy drones and other UAVs.
The launches were carried out from the Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol and Rostov regions of Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Gvardeysk in Crimea.
Air force, air defence and electronic warfare units were deployed to repel the attack
The air attack was repelled by the air force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups from the Defence Forces.
The term «destroyed/suppressed» means that some of the targets were hit by firepower, whilst others were neutralised by electronic warfare measures. The air defence result is given as preliminary.
Impacts and debris falls were recorded at 19 locations
Missiles and 13 attack UAVs struck 12 locations. Debris from the downed targets was also recorded at a further seven locations.
