In the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital, residential buildings and an administrative building in a residential area were damaged. Two residents of one of the buildings sought medical assistance. Rescue workers also helped a woman who was unable to leave her flat unaided due to a warped door.
A Russian attack has caused damage to the residential areas of Kyiv
In the Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, the aftermath of yet another Russian attack was observed on the morning of 29 August.
In the private sector, the following sustained damage: residential buildings and an administrative building. The published images show the partially destroyed structure of the building, the damaged roof and walls, and debris scattered around the building.
Rescue workers and paramedics arrived at the scene.
Two people sought medical attention
For preliminary information, Two residents of one of the detached houses called the emergency medical services team.
Details regarding the nature of their injuries and whether they require hospitalisation are being clarified.
The relevant authorities have not yet given a final figure for the number of people affected.
A woman was trapped inside the house
Whilst clearing up after the attack, rescue workers helped a woman who had been trapped in her own home.
Due to damage to the house the front door has warped, so the resident was unable to go outside on her own.
Staff from the State Emergency Service gained access to the premises and helped the woman to leave the house.
Rescue workers then surveyed the affected area to identify any further potential hazards and to ensure that no one was trapped under the rubble.
The consequences of the attack are being clarified
Emergency and municipal services are continuing to operate in the Sviatoshynskyi district.
Experts are inspecting the damaged buildings and the surrounding area in the private sector. Figures on the extent of the damage and the number of casualties may be updated.
Russian attacks on Kyiv in recent weeks have repeatedly caused damage to residential and non-residential buildings in various districts of the capital. In particular, following previous strikes, the relevant municipal services set up aid centres for residents of damaged buildings.
