970 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region: two dead and 11 injured

A total of 59 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure were recorded. The vast majority of the attacks involved drone strikes, mostly using FPV drones.

Two people were killed and a further 11 were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 970 strikes on 56 settlements in the region; the majority of the attacks were carried out by drones.

Drone strikes, in particular, targeted Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Malokaterynivka, Komyshuvakha, Bilenke and other settlements. Orihiv, Stepnogorsk, Plavni, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipilske and Verkhnia Tersa were also under fire.

According to the Regional Military Administration, Russian forces deployed 740 drones of various types, predominantly FPV. This was the most frequent type of attack over the past 24 hours. Drones struck Zaporizhzhia, its suburbs and other towns and villages in the region.

Russia also carried out 18 air strikes on settlements in the region, including Zarichne, Malokaterynivka, Ternuvate, Yasna Polyana, Vilnyanka and Mala Tokmachka. Separately, rocket attacks from multiple launch rocket systems were recorded on Orikhiv.

A further 211 artillery strikes targeted populated areas, including Malokaterynivka, Stepnogorsk, Primorsky, Pavlivka, Plavni, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Charivne and Novozaporizhzhia.
