As a result of the Russian attack on the night of 8 September, damage and fires were reported in at least five districts of Kyiv. Six people are believed to have been injured. Rescue workers rescued 13 residents from damaged and blocked buildings. Three of the injured were taken to hospital, whilst three others received outpatient treatment, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Residents in the Holosiivskyi and Solomianskyi districts have been rescued
In the Holosiivskyi district, the strike hit a 26-storey non-residential building at the level of the 23rd floor. The structure sustained damage, but there was no fire.
At another address, a garage caught fire, and the blaze spread to a non-residential building and a business centre. Whilst assessing the situation, the emergency services rescued one casualty from the danger zone.
A blast wave trapped two people in a flat in a 16-storey residential block. Emergency services brought them to safety. In the Solomyanskyi district, ten residents were evacuated from a five-storey residential block where people had also been trapped. One person was taken to hospital before the State Emergency Service arrived.
Fires in garages and warehouses were extinguished in three districts of the capital
A garage on the grounds of a private property caught fire in the Darnytskyi district. The fire has been extinguished.
In the Podilskyi district, emergency services attended the scene of a fire in a warehouse. The fire also spread to cars and garage bays.
A fire broke out in some garages in the Dnipro district. At the time of writing, firefighters were still working to bring the fire under control.

Rescue and emergency operations in Kyiv continued. Information regarding casualties and the extent of the damage may be updated following an assessment of the damaged buildings.
During the air raid alert, the Kyiv City Military Administration urged residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear was given. The alert lasted from around 02:00 to 05:40.
