The strike hit a 22-storey residential block
According to the State Emergency Service, the Russian attack caused damage to the structure of a high-rise building at the level of 11–12 storeys. A photograph released by the rescue services shows significant damage to the building’s façade and balconies, smashed windows and smoke in the destroyed section. A fire broke out on the 12th floor following the attack. Rescue workers are on the scene and are dealing with the aftermath of the strike.
Four people are reported to have been injured
The State Emergency Service reports at least the four victims. These are preliminary figures, so the number of casualties may be revised as the emergency services continue their work.
No details were given regarding the condition of those affected or whether they might require hospitalisation at the time of the initial report.
The house has sustained significant damage
Judging by the footage from the scene of the attack, one of the vertical sections of the high-rise building sustained the most damage. The external structures, balconies and windows on several floors have been partially damaged.
