The children were in a shelter at the time. In addition, the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that strikes on warehouse facilities in the same area.
A strike on a school in Vidradnyi
One of the targets of the Russian attack was an educational establishment in the Solomyanskyi district of the capital. A UAV struck the school building in Vidradnyi, after which a fire broke out.
Footage from the scene shows the damaged part of the building, smashed windows and signs of fire on the façade.
At the time of the attack the children were in a shelter. Details regarding any possible casualties and the full extent of the damage are still being ascertained.
Klitschko reported another hit
Later, the Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko reported on another location in the Solomyanskyi district. According to him, Strikes on warehouse facilities have been recorded.
It is therefore known that there are at least two locations in the area that have been affected by the attack — a school building in Vidradne and some warehouse premises. There is currently no further information available on the extent of the damage to the warehouses or on any possible casualties.
The consequences of the attack are being clarified
Information on the situation in the Solomyanskiy district continues to come in. Once the relevant services have completed their work, more will be known about the damage to buildings and the consequences of the strikes.
